Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Josie and I’m a super sweet girl looking for my forever home. I am a 42 lb., female Pointer mix. I can be a little skittish around new people, but given the chance and with some patience, I will warm up. I do well with kids, cats and other dogs. In fact in my current foster home, I have a 50 lb lab that I love to wrestle with. I am still a very playful little girl, love my stuffed animals- well actually I love to chew them up and pull out their squeaker. Speaking of squeaking, I love anything that squeaks, including mice. I have brought my mom a couple mice that I caught. I was so proud of myself, my mom on the other maybe not so much. But at least you’ll know you won’t have any mice around your house! I also LOVE my walks. I’ll even grab my leash to let you know I want to walk. During walks I love looking for birds and squirrels. I guess you can say I love to hunt. When not walking I love being outside in the backyard, and would probably do best in a fenced in yard since I have a wandering nose!
To help build my trust, my foster mom has been working on my commands. I’m doing really well. I’m a pretty fast learner, but I would love it if my new family would continue to work with me on that. I really do like to please. I should probably also let you know that I’ve recently been diagnosed with epilepsy. It’s under control and I have not had seizures for over a month. I take my medicine twice a day in a piece of cheese. Easy peasy, but it is definitely important that I get it twice a day, without fail. The monthly cost for my medication runs about $44 from Walmart.
Once I trust you, you'll have an affectionate, loyal companion who is super happy to see her family. So, if you're looking for a walking companion and someone to keep your bed warm at night, I am your girl. I am also spayed, microchipped and up to date on my vaccines.
