Perdita's Story...
Perdita #6616 is a 3-year-old female, Chow/Cattle Dog mix. This young lady is very sweet. She is housebroken, crate and kennel trained. She is ok with dogs when introduced properly, she does not like cats. She is good on a leash, knows basic commands and loves being with you. She is can be energetic or laid back. She is good with kids, sometimes a little shy around men. She does have a little separation anxiety and must be crated when left alone. She came to us with a litter of puppies and Heartworms. Her puppies have been adopted and she has gone through her treatment and is ready for a home of her own! It is very important that she and all dogs be kept on heartworm preventative. She weighs 55 pounds and is full grown. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Perdita, a Waldorf Chow Chow/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/Cattle Dog for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Chow Chow/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Chow Chow/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
