We’re partnering with Best Friends Animal Society to provide a $20 adoption fee for Calypso and many more pets all month long! Calypso came to us several months ago. She was very pregnant and gave birth to eight of the most precious kittens. You may remember seeing them posted last week, our Wrestler kittens!

All of her kittens have been adopted and it's now Calypso's turn to find a home of her own. This two year old lady is as sweet as can be! She is very affectionate and enjoys being petted, brushed and snuggled. Calypso also knows how to tuck herself in! If you give her a blanket, she'll pull it up over herself. We don't blame her, we love to be cozy too!

Calypso has been spayed, received her vaccinations and is microchipped. To meet her, stop in today!

About Germantown Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The Germantown Animal Shelter provides animal control and care services for the city of Germantown, TN. Our shelter can house approximately 14 dogs and 26 cats. Dogs and cats are always available for adoption at our facility. These animals may be found as strays or surrendered by their owners. Please note that our shelter can only take animals found by Germantown residents within Germantown city limits, or surrendered to the shelter by a Germantown citizen.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our animals can always be viewed at our shelter, located at 7700 Southern Avenue in the heart of historic Germantown. We are open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturdays from 9:30 am to 2 pm. We frequently hold adoption events and fundraisers, keep checking back for information!

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fee for our animals is $80, payable through exact cash or check. This fee includes the first series of vaccinations, comprehensive fecal testing, microchipping and spaying/neutering. All dogs are heartworm tested and given 6 months of prevention. Heartworm treatment is also included if necessary. All cats are tested for heartworms, feline AIDS and feline leukemia.

All adopted animals are spayed or neutered prior to going home.

All potential adopters will be required to fill out a short adoption application. Please be prepared either proof of home ownership/rental agreement and a veterinary reference or records. If you do not have your current pet’s records on hand, we can call your veterinary clinic to confirm vaccines and spay/neuter.
