Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tucker is an 18 month old neutered male chocolate lab. Tucker weighs 87 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 14 and up.
Tucker is a handsome and energetic boy looking for a home where he can run around in the yard and continue with his obedience training. He has the" sit" down really well and has a reliable recall when you use his name. He is initially very excited on leash but is able to settle down after a while. He walks well with an Easy Walk harness. Tucker is good with other dogs and lived with three at his former home. He gets along great with foster's female dogs. He played too rough with an older male dog, so he might do better with females. We don't have any cat history but given his prey drive, we're going to say no cats. Tucker will have a training addendum. Not recommended for first time adopters.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and northeast North Carolina (30 miles east of I-95 and north of the Pamlico Sound.) Adopters must travel to Maryland, or Virginia with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.
Lab Rescue LRCP has between 40 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia, and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates and locations are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. After you submit an application, you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a home visit is required.
