My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

H-E-L-L-O! My name is Roland and I am one handsome fella. Sweet too, so my foster mom tells me. AAP picked me up from a high kill shelter because my foster mom saw my picture online and couldn’t stand the thought of me being there 1 more minute - I just love her. You ask how I got there? I was dumped there with my sister by our owner infested with fleas and scared to death. I felt the need to really protect myself and stand my ground in that place and was very cranky. No longer am I cranky - I now have pep in my step and my tail is high and wagging. The fleas are gone, I am getting special spa treatments weekly so my skin can heal from all that, I get to sleep in the big bed which I love - do you have any idea how cold a concrete floor is? COLD! Sometimes I even sneak up on my foster mom’s pillow in the middle of the night….shhhh. I am looking now for a fur-ever home that will love me like I will love them. Since I am only 1½ yrs old I have lots of life to live and love to give, not to mention a lot of energy to burn. Kisses and snuggling are my specialties. I am wary of noises, so a home with kids under 12 would not be a good fit for me. I would love to have another small dog to play with as long as I can be the boss!!!!!I am happy to accompany you while running errands and ride well in the car. Good boys potty outside and I make every effort to do that, but every once in a while I forget. Roland is up to date on all shots, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, microchiped, de-wormed, and neutered. Roland’s adoption fee is $300.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. For events calendar and adoption application please go to our website at aaprescue.org
