My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This gorgeous gal will be here in less than a week. Olive is all about the love, affection, and company of her peeps. If interested in adopting Olive please fill out an application here http://www.bestfriendsforlifeanimalrescue.com/
Don't understand what's going on Woke up this morning all the hurt was gone This is a new beginning I'm back in the land of the living It's gotta be a strange twist of fate Telling me that Heaven can wait Telling me to get it right this time Life doesn't mean a thing Without the love you bring Love is what we've found The second time around -from 'Twist Of Fate' by Olivia newton John                                                                                                                                A twist of fate and new beginnings are definitely our sweet Olive's theme song. She has quite the story and we know the ending will be the best part! Olive is a gorgeous 3 year old Hound/Beagle mix mostly white with a couple of big black spots for decoration. She weighs 33 lbs right now but still needs to gain a few more pounds to catch up from her neglectful past. Olive was dumped at a high kill shelter, skinny and neglected. along with her 3 puppies. If this wasn't bad enough, her puppies ended up with parvo and sadly one did not survive. Olive and her living pups were pulled by rescue and given all the medical care and love they desperately needed which is why they are all still alive and ding well. Olive was a great mom and now it's her time to shine. This precious young lady is both house and crate trained. She has been in a foster home for a short while but was quick to make herself at home. Foster mom says she has been respectful of her surroundings and non destructive. She has been crated when her foster family leaves the home as part of her house training. Olive is pretty quick to catch on to things, she learned how to sit for treats in no time at all! She walks very well on leash and loves going for walks. Like all hounds, she can get distracted by little scurrying critters for a couple of seconds. She has proven to be generally calm, quiet, and content with her surroundings. She loves to be around people big and small. Foster mom says she is good with other dogs and will do well in a multiple dog home or as a single fur kid. We know she is good with indoor cats but are not sure how she is with outdoor cats.  She would love to be in a home where she can spend the majority of her day hanging out with her humans. She loves sleeping with the 8 year old little boy in her foster home and would be quite happy to sleep with her new family. Olive is very loving and affectionate. She lives and loves to be cuddled up with her people or napping close by. She seems to be completely oblivious to the chaos of a busy home, just takes it all in stride and goes with the flow. Olive is now spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. By a twist of fate she survived a sorrowful and neglectful past life, then one day she woke up and all the hurt was gone. Now she waits for her happily ever after because without the love YOU bring life doesn't mean a thing. Her forever home and love waits to be found....this second time around.
