Donnie's Story...
Hey hey! What’s shakin’? My tail is, that’s for sure! Just a smart, handsome, playful young man looking for some guidance and a bit more training…or how about lots of training! I’m eager to learn and willing to do whatever I can to make you happy—now that makes training fun! Plus, I already have a pretty good start. I am crate trained and working hard on my leash manners. I love to play with other dogs and did great meeting the kitty cats. Now, there is only one thing I love more than playing with other dogs and that is playing with my people! Boy-o-boy am I ready to get outta here and make some lucky family very happy! Maybe it will be yours? 1 year old-82lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Donnie, a Portland Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
