Leo & Capricorn's Story...
Meet Leo and his friend Capricorn, Cappy for short. The are male, Abyssinian cage mates, but Cappy is definitely the one in charge. Leo is actually a Satin Abyssinian and was just born in March. He is a little shy, but very sweet. Cappy is approx 1 year old and has the standard coarse Abyssinian coat. He can be a little bossy, so they need to have a pretty good sized cage to make sure there is enough room for them to each have their own space/houses. If you think you can provide a loving, forever home with the right amount of space, please apply on our website. Adoption fee is $25 each. www.furgetusnotrescue.org

If you are interested in this animal please email furgetusnotrescue@gmail.com and we'll put you in touch with the foster mom. Applications can be filled out online http://www.furgetusnotrescue.org/application.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo & Capricorn, a Hazel Park Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Hazel Park, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Hazel Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazel Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazel Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazel Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
