Meet Layla! This toy flinging, affectionate girl with the big beautiful smile is currently taking interviews! Layla has recovered from two surgeries and survived something less than 5% of dogs that look like her survive... the system! She's the luckiest woman alive! Which means, you (her adopter) will then be blessed with such luck! If you need a little extra luck and love in your life, this might be your gal. A few of Layla's very best traits you ask? There are many. Layla is one of the cleanest dogs in our facility. She keeps her room immaculate. She never destroys or rips anything up, toys are always completely intact, beds and blankets stay in their place, food never spilled, she is house-trained and waits very patiently in her room until it's her turn for her next outing. Layla would also like to point out that she walks wonderfully on a leash and is the most well behaved dog in the car that you'll ever see! No bias! We swear! She is calm and quiet and stays in one place. She loves to see the world from the car window which makes taking her for outings fun and easy. She does have a few special requests - Layla has spent a long time in the hustle and bustle of the shelter. Finding a quiet home, without a lot of barking dogs nearby .... well, that's something she dreams about. Not only will it bring about her very best behavior, but you will start to see one PLAYFUL and very loving, loyal, affectionate, silly girl emerge. A quiet environment is her ticket to success. Layla does not enjoy the company of other dogs and asks to be with a one dog family. Dogs like Layla (that prefer people to dogs) take an extremely long time to adopt out. As a way of saying thank you for adopting our sweet girl, we'd like you to know that she comes support (and STUFF)! (some discounted, some for free). From sleepovers at CRCS while you are out of town to food, toys and training. We love this dog and want nothing more than to see her find a family of her own. For approved families, we'll go to the ends of the earth to provide a variety of services that can keep both Layla and her adopter happy. Inquire for details. Age 3 years old. 61 lbs.

About Canine Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Canine Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary (CRCS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to helping dogs of all breeds and ages recover from trauma such as abuse, neglect, long-term confinement, and other special circumstances. Our primary focus is the rescue, recovery and placement of at-risk dogs. We provide refuge and a second chance for dogs needing at new start by offering a recovery program, thorough screening for best home placement for dog and adopter, and behavior help and support for the life of the dog.

Dogs that come into our care are victims of abuse, domestic violence, dog fighting, and laboratory research. We also take in dogs that have suffered from neglect, hoarding and puppy mill cases and dogs that have endured long term confinement or isolation. We are a support for rescues and shelters, taking in dogs that have been waiting for extended periods to find a home, dogs that have been returned multiple times and dogs that are struggling in the shelter environment due to fear and lack of socialization.

CRCS was founded in 2011 and began as a 100% grassroots organization powered by handful of dedicated volunteers. In November of 2013, we moved into our own facility. With 11,200 sq ft of indoor space and over 5 acres of outdoor space, we are currently working on a capitol campaign to purchase the property and transform every inch into a beautiful campus specifically geared towards recovery for our canine friends.
