I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Hi I'm Linkin and I'm approximately a year old Malamute. I'm neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. I ride well in the car when crated. Did I mention that I'm really good in a crate? I walk fairly well on leash but I'm still very young so I will need consistent work and reinforcement. I'm hanging out with a pack of huskies right now and I really like all of them. If properly introduced I can be good with other dogs, however I need training with meeting dogs while on leash. I'm going to say no to a house with cats since Malamutes like myself tend to have a high prey drive. Kids in the house should be older like 12 and up. I will definitely need a fence that is 6' or higher cuz I can jump really high! I would like for my adopter to either work from home, be retired or take me to the job site with them. I'm young and just want to be with you. Also, I'd really prefer that you have Northern breed/Alaskan Malamute experience so you know exactly what you're getting with me! My adoption fee is $200 so if I'm the Moot for you, please contact the nice people at Tahoe Husky Rescue and ask for me, Linkin! :-)
Our rescue is small, there are only two of us and we run it from our home. We have an undeniable love for huskies and want to save as many as we can. Our main goal and focus is to save "at risk" huskies that are going to be euthanized. We always appreciate donations to help us keep saving these wonderful animals. Any assistance from the pet-loving community is welcomed. We are a 501(c)(3) Non Profit organization. We have a Wish List set up on Amazon as well as accepting donations through PayPal and YouCaring.com. Just search Tahoe Husky Rescue.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We try to bring our huskies to any and all local events in the Truckee area. We also take our dogs to pet events in Reno, Nevada. We are not open to the public since our rescue is operated from our home, however we will always do meet & greets at a local park or location that is easy for all parties pretty much any day of the week and at a time that is convenient for everyone.
Our Adoption Process...
You must be 21 years of age or older, a home check is required, if renting, you must have prior approval and all pet deposits (fees) paid. Our adoption fee is $150, along with completing our adoption application. Completing the application does not necessarily guarantee adoption on your part.
