Mika's Story...
Mika is a 4 year old Akita, she is purebred and registered. She is currently looking for a home with no children. She has grown up in a home with a child and does well, but she doesn't always appreciate visiting children. Mika has also grown up in a home with a Pug and does great. She is sweet and loves attention. She plays with stuffed animals and carries them in her mouth all over the house. She is a very smart girl and knows how to sit, shake and lay down on command. Mika has never seen cats, so she should go to a home without them. She is house trained. All potential adopters will speak with her caretaker to learn more about her.
Please note that this dog is in Tennessee and will be transported via Pooches On The Move.
She is spayed and UTD on all vaccinations. She is microchipped and heart worm negative. She is on a heartworm and flea preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mika, a Beacon Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Beacon, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Beacon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beacon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beacon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beacon paves the way for another one to be saved.
