My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet little Corkie. This adorable little girl was owner surrendered to the shelter because she was peeing a lot in the house. Her owner could not have a dog that pees in the house. Funny thing was that once she came to her foster home she only peed in the house once. This was when she first arrived and we’re sure that may have been due to anxiety. Since then Corkie was adopted from us to a lady that thought (and still does) that the sun rose and set on this little girl. Corkie was recently returned to our rescue due to no fault of her own. Her owner became very sick and has been in and out of the hospital. Though it broke her heart to return Corkie to us she decided that she needed to put Corkie’s best interest first. She knew she could no longer take care of Corkie so she unselfishly gave her up so that she could go to a home that can give her what she can’t. Corkie’s foster mom says she’s doing great. She’s the perfect little dog. Sweet, loving, gets along great with her foster brothers and sisters. She’s loving and playful but also calm. She’s a total joy. Little Corkie is a small female yorkie. She weighs around 8 lbs. Corkie is 10 - 12 years old. Her eyes are a little cloudy which is normal for older dogs but she has no problem seeing. She’s looking for her forever home…..again. :( She would do best in a quiet environment with no small children and someone that has the time to love her. Someone at home a lot or maybe retired would be the best fit for this little girl. Corkie must also go to a home with no cats. She is not good with them and will try to attack them.
