My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How does one deal with being abandoned? How does one deal with being left behind while others got to go with? How are you supposed to take something like that? How you accept that you are not good enough and don't deserve to be happy?
The answer is you DON'T. It took me a little while to realize that, but I finally realized that my owner abandoning me is the best thing that could have happened me because now I am in a loving foster home looking for a REAL family!

My name is Peppy and I am a 4-5 year old male Great Pyrenees/Red Collie mix. My owner had a lot of dogs, and he just decided that he was going to up and move and take them with him but leave me behind along with some other dogs that are also safe. I was left with no food, no water, and to fend for myself. It was only with the help of some very sweet girls who realized that I had been abandoned that I was able to start my second chance at life. I remember my fosters walking out to come get me and I came right up to them said hi and walked back with them to the car no problem! I felt embarrassed because my coat was a total mess and I stunk soooo bad but after a trip to the vet and an awesome groomer I am now all cleaned up and ready for my new life!

I was given the name Peppy because there is so much "Pep, in my step" even after everything I went though. I am a very happy boy and love people and know no strangers. I will gladly go up and give kisses. I walk on the leash very well and am housebroken. I have no problems with other dogs and would be fine in a home with or without them. I ignore the cats and am good with older children...I have not been around young children but I have such a laid back personality I think I would be just fine. I am out of the chewing stage and fine with the run of the house. All I want/need in my new home is a family who will love me forever and never ever abandon me. I am as loyal as they come, I will stand by your side for forever and ever...I just need a chance.

My adoption fee is $200 which will include all my vetting, neuter, micro-chip, negative for heart-worms, and I will be current on flea/tick and heart-worm prevention. To adopt me please visit https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
