Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Much like the singer, our sweet Loretta Lyn hasn’t always had a nice, easy path in life. This sweet lady is a chihuahua, only weighs 3 pounds and is about 8 years old. Because of her size she will need to go to a home with older children of no children. Loretta gets along well with other dogs and cats. She is partially housetrained and her foster uses a pack and play to crate her however she would probably be fine in a regular crate. She is quiet and reserved but craves affection and would be a wonderful lap dog for an older person. We would love to see her go to a home with someone that was retired and would take her with them when they went out. She’d do great as a little pocket companion. She needs a quiet home with loving, attentive, patient parents. She would do wonderful with another small chihuahua as a companion but would be fine if it was just her and her person. Loretta was saved from a high kill shelter. She arrived there as a "stray”. She was very timid and shy and did not show well there. We can’t be sure of her background but wherever she was she probably wasn't shown a lot of affection as she is only learning how to accept affection after several months in foster care. Still she does not like you to get in her face (although she's not snippy.... she’s just scared). Don’t let any of this scare you away from this darling, sweet girl. She just needs someone to love her and show her that the world, although sometimes scary for a tiny dog, is still loving and full of adventure.
Loretta Lynn would love nothing more than to have a forever home of her own. Her adoption fee is $350. She has been vaccinated, is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. She had a dental upon arrival to rescue and has very few teeth but can eat dry food mixed with a little canned. She can be a picky eater but the foster can help with some tips once adoption has been determined.
This precious lady has plenty of life and love to give. If you think that she would fit into your life and lap, please
