My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Effie is a very special girl. She manages to steal the hearts of everyone she meets with her loving, innocent demeanor. She is estimated to be about 3-4 years old and she has a truly miraculous story.
Effie found us, instead of the other way around. She popped up out of a field and promptly collapsed at our founder's feet. She weak, dehydrated, emaciated, and covered in matts. This sweet girl had chemical burns down her back, which led to her contracting an pretty nasty infection. Effie is a true fighter and made a quick turn around after some much needed TLC, fluids, and medication. She has received round o'clock care and love in her foster home, but would love a home for herself.
Effie is marked as special needs because she is currently going through heartworm treatment. Due to her condition, her body is only strong enough for the slow method.
Despite everything she has been through, this incredible girl has never lost her spirit and brings happiness to the people around her.
