Sunny's Story...
Sunny is a 1 year old all American Mutt! Our best guess is a sheltie mix. He is a small guy (weighing 15 lbs) with a big personality. He loves to cuddle and often follows his foster family around acting as their shadow. Sunny gets along well with other dogs, but loves to play and wrestle with dogs larger than him. He doesn’t like to be alone so he needs a home with another dog to keep him company when his humans leave. Always up for a walk around the neighborhood and he walks well on a leash. Sunny is a very sweet, lovable guy looking for a forever home. He has not been around cats or kids.

The adoption fee is $175 and includes: neuter, microchip and vaccines

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny, a Rochester Hills Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Rochester Hills, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Rochester Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
