Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We do not adopt dogs from phone calls or emails. Please do not fill in adoption forms anywhere else, but on OUR web site. Thanks for that.
To start our adoption process, please fill out our form on our web site at: www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. There are a lot of questions answered on our web site and personality details below about each dog BELOW so please READ BEFORE getting in touch. We already answer 500+ emails a day. We do answer questions on dogs once our adoption paperwork is filled in so we can match to the right homes.
Please indicate which dog you are interested in on our adoption form. If their name says "pending home" then they are not available and are on a test drive with a new family. We do remove our dogs when our adoptions are final so please do not ask us if dogs are available if you see their ads.
There is an adoption fee of $300 for this dog.
Joey is a 11 pound mini who loves to zoom outside. He came to rescue because he could not handle young children in the last home when this breed as a rule does not enjoy toddlers or being baby sitters. That is the number one reason we rescue this breed.
I find this guy smart, charming and fun. He is a cat hunter which is also typical in this breed with his high prey drive so we play with toys with him a lot. He gets along great with every dog in the house here but we also do not let any dogs take over in the rescue. He can be a bit pushy or a typical dachshund so he is recommended for someone who knows this breed and has experience with dachshund living in their home.
