/17/09 An update from Hank's foster family- An observation I have made is he really likes to just have people in sight, i.e. know you are there with him whether he is in my office or at the house(reassured he is not alone) but having another dog around does ease this. He is a great boy and I think he just wants to make sure you are not leaving him. He is still not a big fan of the crate all day and any potential family should know 6hrs is Max for the big guy and it would need to be quality out time, not just out then back in. He came from a life of that(as you know) so I am guessing he is not a big fan and enjoys every minute he has out of that atmosphere. He is very well behaved and values your time and friendship. 7/2/09 Wow Hank has turned out to be a great dog! After all he has been through he is really doing wonderfully in his foster home- all he needed was a chance. he is peacefully living with a female dog, cat and seems to really love kids! He appears to be housetrained and doing well learning to not pull on leash and is fine in his crate at night but loves to lie on the bed and nap- not a high energy guy at all- he still needs his forever home and of all the dogs he is SO deserving.
12-13-08 Hank had to stay in Arkansas but should be coming on the next trip in January. He's a beautiful boy who needs a forever home.
11/19/08 Hank is scheduled to come north soon into a terrific foster home. Stay tuned for more information on his temperament and needs. If you love pitbulls you may find this handsome guy is the one for you!
8/20/08: Hank still needs your help...This is such a nice boy. We tested him with dogs and cats today - He did great with all. He even met a Dachshund and all he did was lick him and kiss him. This is a great dog - please give him a chance.
7/10/08: PLEASE HELP HANK! Hank has been at the shelter for several weeks and is just now being posted. He is a very sweet boy who needs a doggy angel immediately. Hank appears to be a Bull Terrier/ Pit Mix, but we don't know for sure ( he definitely has a longer neck like a Bull Terrier). Someone obviously did a very poor job cropping his ears...poor baby. Please find it in your heart to save this precious boy.
