Lexus's Story...
You don’t need a blue book to know that I am ranked #1 in pure luxury, so it’s no surprise that everyone’s racing for a piece of my love. We’re hitting the home stretch, and the leaders of the pack are neck and neck. Who will be the victor of my heart? A loving, patient family that knows how to show a young pup the fast lane to doggie excellence. I am a lean, clean, loving machine! Turbocharged to win your affection. Kids of all ages can strap in for the time of their lives! Cats can work my pit crew, and other dogs are giving me up-to-the-minute track info to stay ahead of the game. I’m fresh off the lot, so plenty of maintenance and training is in order. Puppy training classes would grand, and crate training will show me how to keep a tidy garage—I might have an oil leak every once in a while. The checkered flag is raised for the final lap—will your family be in the winner’s circle of my heart?
9 weeks old-5lbs. My adoption is $300 and includes microchip & registration, spay/ neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexus, a Portland Dachshund/Cairn Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund/Cairn Terrier puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
