My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

11-27-08 Jill has gone to her forever home - hooray for this sweet girl!

11-25-08 An update from Jill's foster mom:
I just wanted to send you a quick update on Jill (aka Jilly Bean) and let you know all is well. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl- quick to give a kiss. She has been exposed to a lot in the last couple of days and has handled it quite well. She is curious but very respectful of the cat and chickens. She is great with kids and other dogs. She does well in her crate, fabulous on a leash (even had the 6 year old hold her with no troubles), knows sit and come, and is working on lay down. She warms up quickly and loves to run, play, and eat! I think she would do well in any active home. She also tolerated bath and nail clipping, no problem!

11/23/08 Jill has made it to Maine and is a very sweet dog- she llterally clings to you as she is scared and wants so badly to belong to someone. She is great with children, cats, dogs- loves everyone She also really enjoys water! She would love to get somewhere and stay forever!

11-1-08 Jill was sponsored for her Heartworm treatment and is scheduled to come north soon. Now she just needs a foster home to go to so we can help find her forever home. Please help!

6/19/08: Jill has been spayed and is temporarily living outside in a pen until we can find someone to foster her through heartworm treatment . Jill still needs funding and has to be in an indoor home before heartworm treatment can start. Please help- seriously ever little bit helps!

6/16/08: Meet Jill- what a doll! Jill came in with Jack (also posted on this site) from the country (the man who brought them in said they were dumped near his home). Because they are considered "county dogs", they are not required to get the same 10 day holding period as "city dogs", therefore their situation is urgent due to overcrowding. It's not their fault they came from outside the city limits! On the positive side, they are available for adoption sooner! However ...both Jack and Jill tested positive for heartworms (another strike against them). It is obvious that this pair belonged to someone because they are very friendly. We are estimating their age to be around 2 years old. Please consider donating to their medical funds as well as fostering them. We are sure we can find them homes as soon as they complete heartworm treatment (approximately 8 weeks).
