Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lincoln was abandoned because he was "sickly". He was kenneled at a vet office until we rescued him. He is up to date on all vacs and healthy now. However we noted he had an odd gait about him and ordered x-rays. The report showed no unusual bone or hip issues. He was SO GOOD during the x-rays they did not even have to sedate him! For a puppy, that is awesome. They can be squirmy worms for exams! He held still, showed no pain upon palpations and the technician could find nothing wrong. We are having further neurological testing done to see if there is a nerve issue. None of this holds him back. He runs with dogs twice his size and flies through a huge dog door. He loves to go on long walks with his foster brothers and eats voraciously!
Name: Lincoln
Age: Approx 10 months as of Oct. 2017
Gender: Male
Breed: Shepherd and Black Mouth Cur (best guess)
Are they House Trained: Yes with dog door
Are they Crate Trained: Yes
Heartworm Negative or Positive: Too young to test but on prevention
Are they current on Heartworm Prevention: yes
Spayed or Neutered: Yes
Are they Micro chipped: Yes
Good with other dogs : Must be introduced but quickly responds positively
Good with cats: Not tested with cats
He loves everyone he's met and is a great car rider if you don't feed him first! : ) He barks at new dogs but with proper introduction, he gets along with them. He does mouth some but not as much as some puppies do and his puppy teeth are gone so no sharp biting either. He is a loving pup who should not run long distances but still LOVES to play...so he will need a special family who has the time for a puppy and understands his limitations. He deserves a forever home this time...please apply if you think it might be yours!
