Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Violet is a dainty little girl who weighs 8.5 lbs. and is approximately two years old. Our best guess is that she is a Chihuahua/dachshund mix. She has a lovely, sleek, black coat with a few hints of white on her underside and her toes, and an adorable, curly tail! Violet was found as a stray but she has blossomed since she was able to leave the scary shelter and come into a loving foster home. At first she was hesitant about meeting new people but now that she feels secure she happily welcomes visitors to her foster home. She loves enjoys taking daily walks around the neighborhood. Violet is fine with riding in the car, as long as she can be in someone’s lap! She does well with other small dogs and enjoys playing with those who are playful. We think that this cuddly, affectionate girl would do well either in a fairly quiet household with another small canine companion or as an only dog with an owner who is able to spend lots of time with her. In her foster home someone is home most of the time but Violet stays in a crate at times when no one is home. At night she prefers to curl up in bed next to the people she loves.
Violet has been spayed and is current on vaccinations and preventatives. If you think this sweet girl is the one you’ve been looking for, her foster mom would love to tell you more about her! Please fill out an application at http://forrescue.net/dog-application/. Violet is located in Huntsville, AL, but is available for adoption in your area.
