My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kona was surrendered after she was left behind by her college-bound owner. Kona is a rescue favorite and you'd never guess she's 6 years old but you might notice her 40 pounds when she goes to hug you! She's such a big little dog. She's a very passionate and active dog who would do best in an active home that can provide her with the physical and mental exercise that she needs. Kona will forever be a puppy in her heart. She does well with non-dominant dogs but can be dog selective in other situations and doesn't get along well with small dogs. Though Kona is deaf, she doesn't let that get her down. Did you know deaf dogs are considered to be the most affectionate and least aggressive of all dogs? She believes she is a lap dog - and who are we to tell her otherwise? She absolutely loves human companionship and she enjoys sunbathing in the afternoon. We don't know if we've ever met a more affectionate dog and her smile will just knock you over. For more information on Kona please give her adoption coordinator, Lydia a call at 714-357-8405. If you'd like to meet her please read the following paragraphs which detail our adoption process and how to complete an adoption application.

If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog at our weekly adoption event on Saturdays at the Petsmart in Yorba Linda, CA (5521 Mirage St.) between 1-5 PM, please fill out an application from our website, poochmatch.com, and return it via email to poochmatch@hotmail.com no later than 11 AM on Fridays. Upon receipt AND approval, the dog you are interested in meeting will be made available to meet on a Saturday. Due to the high volume of dogs and puppies in our foster homes, it is impossible to bring them all every Saturday. The only way to ensure that the dog that you are interested in will be at the adoption event is to FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AND BE APPROVED. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that the dog you are interested in will be at our adoption event. If you cannot make the time frame of our events, appointments can be made at another time and location solely at the discretion of the foster parent. Please understand that private appointments will be coordinated to meet the convenience of the foster parent/transporter. We cannot hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt.

All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, core vaccinations (rabies and 2 sets of distemper/parvo), fecal testing and deworming. Adoption fees vary solely based on age and size.
