My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby is a 14 month old, purebred Bichon. Ruby has lots of energy so she would do best in a home with another energetic dog and a fenced in yard. Ruby loves to play with other dogs and toys. Ruby is crate trained and house trained. Ruby does well on a leash and loves to go for walks. Ruby is fine with children but due to her small size, we require a home with children over the age of 8. Ruby is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm prevention.

The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law may add an additional cost.
