My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Maggie, a beautiful 7 yr old Weimaraner who has been waiting for far too long for a home of her own. I had a home that used me as a breeding machine, and then when my last litter didn't make them any money, they tossed me in the pound. Young at Heart took me in, and had me professionally trained. I'm a very happy and exuberant girl, and would love a home where someone is active and likes to take me for walks or go running with me. Because of all those years breeding litter after litter, I'm not very fond of other dogs and would prefer to be the queen of the castle. I am ok with cats though, and seem to enjoy their company. I am healthy and house-broken, and I dream of the day that I have a home all to myself and can snuggle up on a bed with you, or sit by the fireplace while you read a book- I'm a total couch potato! I love my crate while you are gone, as it makes me feel safe and secure. The rescue has paid for a few lessons with my trainer for whomever adopts me so that we are "speaking the same language" when you take me home, too! I'm such a good girl, please let me win your heart over!
