My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cronos is a big handsome Newfie/Lab mix that came to Friendship with a group of dogs as part of a humane surrender. They were all puppy mill dogs that were of no use to their breeders any longer and taken to a vet to be euthanized. That's when Friendship and a few other rescues stepped in. Many are now at Friendship ready and waiting for loving homes, which is something they've never had. All dogs are very affectionate, gentle and want human contact. Some are very timid but not nippy. They have never lived in a home so will need patience, training and tender loving care. We do not know if they are house trained. Cronos has been pottying outside when taken out on a regular basis. He is great on a leash, super friendly and ready to find a family to love. From time to time we get puppy mill dogs. Out of all the dogs that come through the shelter, puppy mill dogs are very rarely returned. They somehow know this is their second chance at life and learn to make the best of it.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
