My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're hankerin' for a super nice dog, mosey on down to Friendship and check out Hank. He's a 6 year old Rottie/Hound mix that was surrendered by his family because they thought he was too energetic for them. They adopted Hank from the Lorain County Dog Kennel. He knows his basic commands and is house trained according to owners. Hank loves to run. They would tie a long leash to their 4-wheeler and ride along with Hank while he ran. Not sure about other dogs, no cats! Hank has a high prey drive. They said no toddlers would be best because he is very excitable and may jump. He does well if tied outdoors but only for short periods of time, as he will whine and bark. He's much happier in a fenced in yard with room to run. Hank is definitely a lover and a super affectionate dog. Hank would be a wonderful pet for an active family with kids over 6 years of age.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
