My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in meeting Snapdragon, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.fluffbuddies.org/infoquestions.php

Snapdragon, aka Snap, aka Little Man, is a domestic short haired white kitten with black spots. His approximate date of birth is 03-24-17. Snap and his 4 siblings were found in someone's garbage can! The rescuer heard kittens crying and pulled out all 5 to safety and that is when Snap came to me, his foster mom. Snap's siblings were fostered by another foster and Snap was paired up with another of my kittens that was super tiny, just like Snap. At about half the size of his siblings, Snap was only 5 oz, but already 2-3 weeks old. He looked more like a mouse than a kitten. I was not sure Snap was going to make it, but he not only made it, he started to grow so fast he outweighed some of his siblings. There are 3 of his siblings still available to adopt with Fluff Buddies. TansyL and NolanaL look similar to Snap and then there is a black and white tuxy sibling, SageL. They have all played together and get along wonderful. They are very loving and playful and would make great playmates for Snap. I also have 2 other fosters of mine up for adoption (BogeyW and BlancW, siblings) that were raised with Snapdragon. The 3 of them all get along well.

Snap is extremely active and definitely needs a companion to rough house with. He might be a little scared at first with your resident kitty(s) but he always makes friends with any kitty that will accept him. He must be adopted to a home that has another kitten/cat or even a dog, as long as they are open to playing with him. On the flip side of his playfulness is a sweet gentle boy that purrs almost constantly and loves to lay in your lap and sleep with you at night. He may wake you for a pet, but for the most part he settles down, finds his spot, and lets you sleep peacefully. If you wake though, he will check to see if perhaps you wanted him to play by nudging your hand. He just needs another little pet and he will settle back down. His meow is very unique. The only way I can describe it is by saying, when you first hear it, you will say, "What was that? Was that the cat?" It is adorable! He is also hilarious. My friend dubbed his antics "Snapisms". For example: I always have a tiny litter box out for my very young kittens. Apparently Snap missed using the "small fry" box, so he found a way to make it work. He stood outside of the box, dug a hole, turned around and backed just his hind end into the little box, did his business, and then stepped out. He then turned around and politely covered his biz and went about his day. He is SO polite!

Snapdragon is a true joy and will probably always have the heart of a kitten. He, as stated above, is WELL litter trained. He is currently on Purina Pro Plan for kittens, dry food and gets 1/2 of a can of Fancy Feast kitten wet food each day. He was raised with 3 dogs and several other cats and gets along well with all of them.

Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.
