My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Mikey. This is a young Dachshund mix. He is about 6 or 7 months old. He weighs 8 pounds. They say he was hit by a car but no breaks just a lot of soft tissue injury that caused swelling inflammation and pain. He is well on his way to be all better. He has a little limp in the back end but it does not slow him down. He was on the local euthanasia list and no one was going to take him and in the 9th hour CCPAL went in and scooped him up. This little boy loves to play. He is friendly with other dogs and he has his big boy teeth. He is good on a leash and has been in foster care. He did well on his potty training with his foster mom on a schedule. He is good in a kennel and ready for his forever home. A home that is on one level would be best with little to no stairs. He can climb stairs but they are not good for Dachshunds and we would prefer he be carried or have a ramp for any stairs. He is smart as they come and eager to please. This boy is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Pipe Creek, Texas in a rural shelter. He is up on all his shot and ready to find love and his forever home. He can be adopted locally in Texas or be transported to the East or the West Coast. His adoption fee is 170 and transport is 185.
