My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This cocker boy is a sweet, shy very nice doggie.  He will do best with a dog social pal who can help him to learn how to be a great companion. He needs an adult home or one with children 10 plus years old.

My name is Jon Jon.  I am a 15 month old neutered buff cocker boy.  I am an owner surrender from a nice lady who couldn't keep me due to health issues. I was born in May of 2016 in Oklahoma. I belonged to a breeder. My sister and I were 4 months old and being shown for adoption. Our new owner drove from NC to adopt us. We were both scared of everything when she got us due to lack of socialization growing up. My sister eventually got re-homed to a nice young couple who are working with her and have another cocker. She is learning from him and doing well.  My owner was very attached to me. I was her sweet baby boy.  I would hide behind her or under a chair if people came to visit or something frightened me like a loud noise.  It was a sad day for me to leave her when I got picked up by the CCR Volunteer.

I am heartworm negative, neutered, micro-chipped and a healthy boy. I am somewhat house trained as long as you let me out often. I am shy, friendly and scared of lots of things. I do ok but it takes time for me to warm up to meeting people. Different situations and loud noises are hard for me to handle. These folks are working with me on socialization skills to get me more comfortable with things. I am slowly making progress and starting to come out of my shell a little each day.  I will need someone to adopt me who is willing to go slow with me, teach me things and help me to be a great companion.  I will do best with a dog social pal that I can hang out with, learn from and we can be your wonderful indoor companions. I need an adult home or I can be with children 10 years and older.  Please give me the loving home that I deserve, I will need your patience and lots of love. I will do best with someone who works from home and will not leave me alone for long hours.

My adoption fee is:  $400.
