Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blossom is a beauty and everything you would want in a Border Collie. She spent most of her very short life without many boundaries and is learning, very very quickly, what it means to be a well-behaved girl. She LOVES being with her humans and wants every so much to please them.
Blossom loves playing and learning from the other dogs in her foster home as well. Cats are a bit of a split with her - she pays no attention to them, but if they are running then her herding instincts kick in - but there is no harm intended on her part.
Blossom loves children. However, her people will need to stay on top of her instinct of herding them as well, and nipping at their "haunches" to get them to go where she wants. Again, no harm is intended but she was bred to herd and, well, herd she does.
Blossom walks very well on lead and does well in a car and crate (though she doesn't really like her crate).
If you would like to meet this beautiful girl and potentially adopt her, then read on or go to the Adoption Process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
