My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoe – female, spayed, vaccinated to date, heartworm tested (-), 50lbs, 8months, Lab/Collie type mix.

Zoe’s owner has unexpectedly become too ill to care for her properly at this time and has decided to find her a home.

Zoe is great with other dogs and good with children; she has not been around cats but would likely be fine with cats with a little training. Zoe had started her basic training but when her owner became ill suddenly Zoe went to a boarding facility and needs a gentle, patient reminder that she knows her commands… Zoe walks nicely on leash with her gentle leader and once she establishes a bond with her owner she loves to run off leash, she knows sit, down, off, no and other basic commands but needs a refresher, she has also taken to jumping up when excited, she is working on this in her foster home and getting good at “off” when she is excited. Zoe travels well in the car, loves the dog parks and having off leash time, in the summer she loves to swim, she also plays fetch. Zoe is an active dog and needs to go for a walk and have play time every day, she is used to going for a one hour walk each day. Zoe is crate trained and is working on reestablishing her house training, previous to her visit to the kennel she was completely house trained. She is used to being left alone for typical 9-5 hours and being a puppy she should be crated when left alone until she is used to her new family, home and routine. This pup has tons of potential to be a perfect family pet; she would be great as a second dog but is fine as the only dog. Zoe would love to find an active family that can take her out for lots of walks, play time and swimming in the summer. She is a sweet, friendly and loyal companion. Zoe is best suited to a house with a fenced yard.
