My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Jonas! a.k.a., Pup.

I was found on a bridge in Pennsylvania and taken to the pound. I don't think I was thinking of jumping to end it all, I think I was just lost from my family. I was at the pound for some time and my family never came to get me and my days were numbered. The lady at the pound tried her hardest to get me somewhere safe. When she contacted BREW, they said yes to me getting saved and here I am. I guess as foster mom says, who could resist my very handsome face and gentle eyes.

I am now safe at my foster family’s house. I like it here. I have a young male dog to play with and an old dog that doesn't mind when I want to play; he just says to me, go play with the young dog, I'm too old to play. And so I do.

Foster mom likes it that I go potty outside and I do every single time. Foster mom says my forever home will also like it that I potty outside. Speaking of outside, I love to be outside. The cold does not bother me too much. I love to explore the yard everyday. And foster brother and I get to play in the snow. Lately I love to zoom around and kick up snow as we chase each other around. I have four white paws (or white socks) and I think that is what makes me run as fast as I do. Foster brother can't keep up with me; he doesn't have the special paws to run fast.

Foster mom says whoever my family was before obviously treated me OK because I am a well-adjusted dog. She says I am no trouble at all. I eat only from my food dish and I eat slowly. I haven't chewed anything that I shouldn't. I go to bed when I should on one of the dog beds in my foster parents’ room along with all the other dogs.

I can do twirls for treats and sit up and balance on my hind legs for treats. I take treats nicely from your hand. I love to cuddle with you and get my rubbins. Foster mom says I am very intelligent. And, of course, she says I am very handsome.

I guess at this point foster mom says I should list my bad habit. Yep, I only have one and it is easy to correct. OK, don't tell anyone please, I am not proud of it, but here goes...I drink from the toilet bowl. Foster mom says all you have to do to correct this, is shut the lid but sometimes someone will forget and I get thirsty and every other dog in the house is drinking from the same water bowl. So what's wrong if I want my own bowl!

So if you have an extra bathroom, I mean room in your heart, contact BREW.
