My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chili is one tasty little tidbit and as sweet as chocolate covered caramel. This little guy was languishing in a shelter while the other dogs around him were adopted. Why? We have no idea. He is as sweet as sweet can be.

Chili is most likely a Miniature Pinscher mixed with Chihuahua and will have no problem getting into a lap for a snuggle or some play time. He is a quiet little guy, and very intelligent, and will take his time deciding if you have his best interest in mind.

Chili gets along with the the dogs at his foster home and is quite entertaining to watch. He is good with cats, a little wary of them even. Respectful children over five years of age would be okay.

Chili does well on lead though he's still learning. Cars and crates are a new thing for him but he's adjusting to them very well.

If you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting Chili please read on or go to the Adoption Process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
