Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am Simon. I am 3 years old and my life has been anything but simple. My previous owners did not always treat me with the love and respect that I deserved. Because of that, I am fear full towards humans. Then 2 ladies came; I did not trust them either. They took me away and one of them brought me to her home. She says she is now my foster mom. She is very patient with me and I am starting to trust her. There are other furry creatures around the house. I am not quite sure that I am supposed to do. They are patient with me too and they seem to love all the people in the house. The boy and girl in the house are nice, they pet me and give me treats. I like rubs, I love walks and I love exploring the backyard. I need a family that will be patient with me, who will love me and take me for walk. I will bark when there are noises that scare me, so no apartments for me. Also, no small children as they might not know to treat me is patience and respect. If you are looking for a constant companion, give me a chance
UPDATE: Simon is going so great in his foster home. He does have a crate that he likes to go into when things get a little too much for him. The doors on the crate stay open, so that he can come and go as he feels the need. He loves to play with balls and is very good at taking them apart, especially tennis balls. He is very affectionate with the people that he knows, and will bark at strangers that come into the house. He does not climb onto the furniture, he prefers to curl up on the floor beside someone’s feet.
