My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trapper and his sister Sissy were found out in the woods near Show Low, AZ. A kind person brought them into the shelter. After not being claimed by an owner, we brought Trapper and Sissy into our rescue.

Trapper is a sweet, outgoing boy. He loves everyone and other dogs. He is learning crate training and potty training. He will need basic command training as would any puppy. We suggest enrolling in training classes as with any new dog, puppy or adult. is approximately 6 months old as of August 2017.

Trapper is expected to be a big dog once he is full grown. Most hounds range from 60-70 lbs at maturity.

Trapper will be altered on September 7th and receive a booster vaccine approximately one week later. Trapper's adoption donation is $275.

Our adoption process includes completion of an application. Please email us at britrescueaz@cox.net to request an application. Upon receipt of the application, we will schedule a phone interview, home visit and meet/greet with all family members, including other pets. We allow a two week trial period with all our adoptions to make sure the pet is a good match for your family and lifestyle.
