Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I was a little tough cookie at first, I am the first one to recognize it. This didn’t turn them away from me, quite the opposite. The staff gave me the space and the time to adjust to this new place, always being so gentle, giving me treats, a nice blanket. You should check out the doggie bed I have in my room. They really helped me realize that I was safe and did not have to worry about anything. This is why Save-A-Pet is such a special place, they are always there for us regardless of our needs. I am still a bit of a toughie so a one-on-one relationship with a person would suit me best. As soon as I spot my regular dog walkers, I am right at the door with my tail wagging and all excited. I do love walking around and sniffing everything. Shhh I am even known to be a little of a lap dog at times but don’t tell anyone, I don’t want to ruin my tough image. I was truly given a chance at happiness and hope to find a person with a heart as big as the heart of staff and volunteers here.
Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well in the doggie play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess. (Of course, this still means that I may not like every single dog but do you like every single person?) So if you have a dog, why don’t you bring him in so we can meet and see how we may do together.
