Let us tell you a story of a very special kitty. This is Bumblebutt! This young adult female kitty came to the shelter 2 months ago after her tail was traumatically removed...at the time no one was quite sure what happened to her. Shelter staff waited on pins and needles for her first few days to see if she would be able to recover.
Fortunately, she recovered beautifully! Her former caretakers told staff that she and 2 other cats were indoor/outdoor kitties who were abandoned by some local residents when they left their rental property. Bumblebutt was frightened and hid behind the fridge, but somehow got her tail stuck and that's how she was injured.
Because her injuries were severe, she sustained some damage to her nerves which has left her unable to control her urinary and bowel movements. So she is seeking a loving, attentive home where she can hang out outside (so she doesn't make a huge mess), but still get lots of love!
