Farley's Story...
You won't find a dog sweeter then me, I mean just look at this face. These big brown eyes say it all. And why stop at sweet, I am smart and well mannered, clean and quiet. Wonderful with other dogs, affectionate and eager to please. I will enjoy all the attention that children have to give, as long as they are respectful of me- I can be a bit timid sometimes. I ride well in the car, am crate trained and know a few basics like walking on a leash and sitting when told. Just look at these eyes, and try an tell me you don't wanna take me home right now. 1 year old-44lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; microchip, spay, 6 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (Portland/Milwaukie area) ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Farley, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
