Monkey's Story...
Monkey here, I am one fine fun funky fella! Just a babe, that’s right, I may be 82 pounds but I am all puppy! Being that I am a Labrador/Mastiff mix, I mature a little later in life than your average pup. At 1 year old I am still just a kid, eager to learn, eager to play and most of all eager to love. Nope I sure ain’t your average pup! I am super affectionate, goofy and loyal, excellent with children. I have not had a whole lot of training yet, I know how to ‘sit’ which is pretty cool . Just pull out the biscuits and we’ll both be speaking the same language! I love to play with other dogs (although I can be dominate ), but I am big and just too overbearing with smaller pooches. That mean small critters like cats are a no go for Mr Monkey here. I am already crate trained and housebroken which is pretty cool too, but I am depending on you to show me the ropes, you know, all that other important stuff that good doggies know. Hurry in, meet the Monkey and bring some biscuits! 1 year old-82lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; microchip, neuter, 6 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (Portland/Milwaukie area) ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monkey, a Portland Mastiff/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Mastiff/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Mastiff/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
