My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lollie is our "special needs" foster. She is a 5 year old French Bulldog that needs to be an only pet. And she needs to only have ONE human in her home.
Because of this, we are asking that Lollie is adopted by a SOLO human.
Here is why...

First off let me start by saying that Lollie is one of the best dogs I've ever met. She's the best road dog ever. She loves hanging out on the couch. She LOVES going for walks. She's super mellow and not needy at all. If there was ever a parallel life where I could only have ONE dog... it would be Lollie. She's got a fantastic personality. She's funny, affectionate, yet still independent. She loves sharing french fries while riding in the car with the window down. And she's completely into hanging on the couch watching movies all night.

However... she's kinda got a screw loose. She reacts explosively to anyone who approaches the person she's sitting with, even if she was just loving on that other person. She also reacts to any other animals that enter that sacred space. She's a ONE PERSON kinda dog. And she will be the BEST dog ever for that one person.

She is completely manageable at the vets office. We just have a quick conversation about her issues and they plan accordingly. She is manageable pretty much in any situation on a leash. I've taken her for a walk through the pet store and let her sniff out what toys she wanted, but I'm also very aware of her surroundings and don't allow her to interact with on coming dogs. She walks around my neighborhood ignoring other people and dogs. It's only when they enter her personal space that she flips out. I've actually included a video of it. It's the last video on this post, and it was taken shortly after we'd been hanging out. Once she was in Leslie's lap, she was no longer ok with me.

We've already had Lollie evaluated by Trainer Erin at Tug Dogs. Lollie had a week long evaluation, and the prognosis is this...
Lollie cannot handle more than one human. And she needs to be the only pet. So you know what? We're going to wait until that perfect someone comes along. Please do not be offended if you are a single person with no other pets and we decline your offer to adopt Lollie. It needs to be a solo home. She's got special needs, and we're prepared to foster her as long as needed in order to meet those needs.

Lollie is being fostered in Lincoln, Ca. Her adopter needs to be somewhat local to the Sacramento area.

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary).

Lollie's adoption donation is $200.

Interested in meeting Lollie or any of our available pooches? Complete and submit our adoption application on our website norcalbullybreedrescue.com and we will respond to you within 24 to 48 hours.
