My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny #8050 is a 2-year-old female, Labrador mix. This young lady is very sweet and puppy-like; she is playful and rambunctious. She is also very intelligent and eager to learn and please. Her foster family has been working with her on basic commands, like sit, down, come and no. She enjoys long walks and anything to do with water (swimming pools and splashing in the bay). She is social and enjoys meeting new people and dogs. She likes going to the dog park. She is crate trained and working on house breaking and doing well. She still pulls a bit on leash; her foster family uses a no pull harness. Penny is curious about other animals and wants to play, though she respects the alpha Chihuahua in her foster home who doesn’t. The ideal home for Penny would be with a family who enjoys the outdoors (walking, hiking, swimming, etc). She would do best with a medium/large fenced yard to run around in. Penny is a bundle of energy and she might be a little too much for small children. She really is a very sweet dog and would be a wonderful addition to a family.
She weighs 58 pounds and is full grown. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application on our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. This pup should be available for adoption at our PUPPYPALOOZA event at the Columbia PetSmart on Saturday, September 16, from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event updates: www.facebook.com/LCARMD.
