My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harley #7891 is a handsome 3-year-old male, Great Pyrenees. He is a wonderful boy who comes with an interesting background. He had been abused and is not comfortable around some men. He was taken out of that situation by a family and put on their farm. He did great with the goats but not with the sheep. He does not really like being inside for long periods of time. He was fine with their cat but not with any stray animals that would come onto the farm. Typical of the breed, he is protective of the animals and the farm; was fine with the people that belonged there but had to be introduced on a leash to outsiders. That being said, he has been great here with us. He knows some basic commands; he will sit, down (slowly) and give paw. He likes to be outside doing what he has been bred to do- take care of the farm. He is a wonderful boy who needs to have a large fenced area to roam. We are seeking a breed experienced adopter and are happy to arrange meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants. He weighs 105 pounds and is full grown but is still putting on weight. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship.
