My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a bedtime cuddler, look no further. This little girl looks forward to her one-on-one time in the evening. She has a natural sassiness and prance that just makes you laugh every time you watch her. She also loves to play. At first she is a little hesitant around other dogs, but she warms up quickly and then, becomes the one who tries to get the others to play. She is currently in a foster home with several other dogs of varying sizes and ages. She has not had much experience walking on a leash, but her foster mom is working on that. She’s a smart cookie and it won’t take long for her to get the hang of it. When she first came into the rescue, she was fairly timid and was hesitant of new people. She still takes a little time to get to know people, but the time it takes her to warm up is now measured in minutes. At her foster home, she’s gone through large family get-togethers and done well, with adults and children. She is crate-trained and potty-trained. She was trained to use a dog door, but we find that she does better with scheduled potty breaks rather than a dog door. Lacey would make a good dog for an apartment.
