King is a happy, loving, 8 month old pit/lab mix in search of a loving forever home. He's neutered, chipped, and up to date on all vaccines. King loves people and other dogs and will run and play in the yard with his people or dogs until he crashes in the grass. :) He is good around cats and chickens, sniffing to check them out, but very easily redirected. He is crate trained and potty trained, knows most basic commands, and does not mark indoors. He is still a puppy and needs reminded to listen at times, but is very eager to please and very food and affection motivated. He walks well on leash, rides well in the car, and can be off lead with a good recall. He will bark at animals and strangers outside of the yard, but doesn't have a mean bone in him. When out of the yard King thinks any person or dog we come across is there to play with him or love on him. King does have a little bit of a hitch in his step which we believe to be genetic, but doesn't seem to hinder him from climbing the porch steps or running around the yard with the other dogs. He loves to play in water, making it very comical trying to water my plants in the morning or watching him run through the sprinkler in the evening when we water the grass. King loves the wrestle with the other dogs, but when play time is over all he wants to do is lay his head in your lap for love and snuggles, then lay down at your feet. He is a little higher energy than his sister Daisy and would do best in a home with other playful dogs or older children to play with.
