Here's what the humans have to say about me:
6 - 7 year old Joey ended up on death row at a high kill shelter through no fault of his own. Joey, too is just a nice smaller sized golden mix boy - - - who is looking for that special someone who will love him for the rest of his days and who has a little patience to allow him a few days to adjust to a new home and situation. Joey is very soft tempered, but can become very attached and maybe possessive of "his person(s)" and space - though we have witnessed none of this behavior here. Because of this unsubstantiated tale, we feel placing our Joey in a quiet adult home would be best for him. He is easy going with all the dogs here, but has experienced being trounced on by bigger, more aggressive animals. Joey, Too is neutered, up to date on distemper, parvo, and rabies vaccines, and heartworm negative and on preventative. Joey does have a twisted front leg from an old injury that does not seem to bother him one bit. He's also very handsome - - - but hasn't let that go to his head - lol Joey needs an owner who can follow our directions for integrating any new dog into an existing pack or home, which we have made almost absolutely foolproof and simple. If you would like to offer Joey, Too a forever home, please submit an application. You can find our application on our website (www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org)
