Weight: 41 lbs.
Good with dogs: yes

Good with kids: no young children

Good with men/strangers: unsure

Special home requirements or medical: he should have a yard and an active home with plenty of exercise
Additional info:
Patches is friendly, eager to please and sweet as sugar. He already knows lots of commands and is super smart and eager to learn more. He is so curious and excited about the world that he may get overstimulated on walks and forget to go potty! He's not a fan of his crate but he settles down after a while. A patient, experienced hand will do wonders with him. He thrives on a lot of physical and mental stimulation and is definitely a dog who loves to interact with people. . Patches would do best in a home with a yard as he is very active. He'd make a great exercise buddy as he needs long walks and hikes. He ended up in the shelter because his family gave him no training or exercise and he ended up nipping their toddler. Rather than train him, they surrendered him to the shelter. We don't recommend him for a home with young kids yet, for obvious reasons. He's part border so we know he's smart as a whip. He just needs someone to work with him to teach him what's expected of him. He's ready for his new home right now.
