My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How old are you?
Around 1-1/2

How much do you weigh?
I am a dainty thing, weighing around 35-40lbs

What do you look like?
I am gray, my hair all fell out because I was sick and left to die, but it is slowly growing back!!

What do you like to eat?
EVERYTHING.

What kind of personality do you have?
I am fun, bouncy, and playful! I love everyone!

Describe your perfect day:
Playing with my foster family and cuddling with my human foster sister.

What is your favorite toy?
Anything I can destroy. Stuffed animals are always fun, but a good bone is also good.

Do you know any tricks?
I go to bed and sit. Working on others!

What scares you?
Really loud yelling or fast movement when I think I am in trouble. I think I was abused in my past life so things like that make me upset.

Have you been around children? Do you like them?
I love children! I am pretty rambunctious though, so probably no one too young that you would worry about me knocking over. Dog savvy kids would be best.

Do you like cats?
I do! I think they should play with me, but my foster mom’s cat does not think that sounds like a good time. I am however very respectful of her.

How do you feel about other dogs?
I like other dogs that are properly matched with proper introductions.

If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be?
On the couch next to my people while eating all the snacks.

How is your health?
My health is so much better now!

Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion?
My foster mom, foster dad, human foster sister (just turned 6), two female doggy foster sisters, two male doggy foster brothers, and a female kitty foster sister. My foster mom is my favorite, but my human foster sister is definitely a close second. I am equally fond of the rest of the family.

Where do you hang out when you are home alone?
In my crate!

Where do you sleep?
In my crate.

Do you like walking on a leash?
We are working on my leash manners.

Do you have any "not-so-great" habits that we should know about? For instance, do you bark or dig in the yard? I get very excited when my people get home and will run around like crazy and jump. I am working on containing my excitement but I am just so excited to have people that love me!

Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside)
I am!

Do you like water?
That’s questionable.

What do you love about your foster family?
I love that there are always people around and I get lots of attention.

What was your life like before being brought into NorCal Bully Breed Rescue?
I don’t really remember, but I know it was bad. I remember being found on the side of the road, left for dead. I was hypothermic (that’s what I am told, I just remember being very cold!) and had a bad skin infection. Despite what happened to me in my past life, I am a super happy girl!

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary).

Dani's adoption donation is $200.
