My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How adorable is this little boy? He looks like a shih tzu mix. He has the cutest under bite. He was found wandering the streets of Houston, TX and no owner claimed him. He is just a doll. He is very well behaved and quiet. He is approx 2 yrs old and 12 lbs. He was very matted when we rescued him and had to be totally shaved down. He gets along with all of the other dogs and loves to curl up in his doggie bed. He seems to be quite well house and leash trained and rides well in the car. We prefer a house with older humans as he is such a quiet little boy.


The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law may add an additional cost.
