Meet Bear! Bless this dog! Bear is big and goofy and as agreeable as they come. He is about 19 months old and is basically an 83lb lap dog. His foster mom took him shopping and he walked around really well, not nervous at all, happy to meet people, and just waited patiently while she checked out. He had his nails trimmed and did great. He has been perfectly friendly meeting new dogs and thinks his foster mom’s cats are strange and scary. He is doing well in the house and is currently spending a few days at the university with the vet tech students and enjoying every minute of them messing with him. He rides well in the car, is good on leash and loves kids. He lived with a family with three VERY energetic children who climbed on him and he tolerated their nonsense. Bear will make a wonderful addition to any family!
This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
